A new chapter for The Royal George Hotel

Today, we're delighted to share that The Royal George Hotel will be joining Buzzworks, a Scottish, family-founded hospitality business, marking an exciting new chapter for our much-loved Perth hotel.

For more than 250 years, The Royal George has welcomed guests to Perth, and we're incredibly proud of the role the hotel has played in the city's hospitality scene over the years.

Until the deal completes in January 2027, it's business as usual - we'll continue to welcome guests as we always have. After that, the hotel will temporarily close for a major refurbishment.

When it reopens later in 2027, The Royal George will become part of Buzzworks' House Collection, bringing together stylish, comfortable bedrooms with a welcoming pub and restaurant, while celebrating the character and heritage that make it so special.

We're looking forward to sharing more about what's to come and welcoming you through our doors for this exciting next chapter.

Thank you for continuing to be part of The Royal George story.
